The NY HIV Health & Human Services Planning Council's Consumers Committee with support from the the NYC DOHMH Bureau of HIV and advisory HIV organizations presented a screening of the award winning documentary Nothing Without Us followed by a panel featuring Director Harriet Hirshorn alongside activists and advocates from the film: Dazon Dixon Diallo, Terry McGovern and Gina Marie Brown. Dr. Anisha Gandhi, Acting Assistant Commissioner of the Bureau of HIV made opening remarks.

Melanie Lawrence, staff support for the Consumers Committee opened the meeting in order to introduce the new technology and go deliver helpful tips. She ran through a roll-call to facilitate introductions and a moment of silence was honored.
Randall Bruce, Consumers Committee Co-Chair, with the assistance of Paul Carr, Consumer-at-Large, opened the meeting, followed by introductions and a moment of silence led by John Schoepp. Rob Walker and Billy Fields were called from the meeting.Melanie Lawrence introduced the agenda, which is focused on tightening the themes to be addressed during the Aging Forum, and took the committee through the agenda.
